First Annual Woodlake Foundation Golf Tournament

Thanks to all who supported and participated in the First Annual Woodlake Foundation Golf Tournament held on October 25th. We had what can only be described as a total success. A beautiful Saturday at the Woodlake Golf and Country Club found nineteen teams teeing off for a 12:00 noon shotgun start. This was preceded by a hearty lunch served up by Chef Bob Pearcy. The Woodlake Golf Team auctioned off caddies with proceeds going to fund some Golf Team expenses and signs identifying dozens of generous sponsors lined the boxes and greens of each hole. Finishing in the money were: Third Place the "Three Rivers Rowdies" whose team motto was "Mulligans?...We don’t need no stinkin mulligans." The Bogeymen finished a strong second. The winners of the First Annual tournament were from Visalia First Baptist who seemed to be on a mission from God. Ryan Pace belted the Longest Drive to walk away with a Ping Driver and closest to the hole winner went home with a new Callaway Putter. Thanks go out to all who sponsored the event and to those who supported the foundation by getting teams to play. Many thanks also go out to all the Foundation members who helped make the day a profitable success. We raised over $6000.00 this year and expect to double that next year when we hold the Second Annual Woodlake Foundation Golf Tournament on October 23, 2004. So mark your calendars now.
