Anyone who hasn’t been by the WHS campus since last summer should take a moment to visit the new student Event Center. One section of the Center houses the new kitchen/cafeteria mostly designed by Laura Bullene-Jacobo, WHS Class of ’82. Laura, who was a top Chef at some of the area’s best restaurants, is presently Food Services Manager for Woodlake Public Schools. The seating in the cafeteria is arranged to look out on the most beautiful swimming pool in the valley.

The Event Center’s stunning floor design was created by Todd Peltzer, also WHS Class of ’82. Todd owns "Peltzer Designs," a graphic advertising firm in Visalia. He created the tiger logo that has been in use at WHS for several years. His tiger logo already graces WHS stationery, football helmets and clothing, and he is presently creating an etched glass window with the tiger on it for the new Event Center.
