You must be cleared by Friday May 28 at 3:30 to participate in the Senior picnic on Tuesday June 1st.

Lunchtime Volleyball – Come out and have some fun and play a game of volleyball,  listen to some music  today at lunch. Volleyball was cancelled on Friday so we will try it again today.

 

Attention Seniors who _received_ a letter for Woodlake High School's /Scholarship Night./  The program will be held Monday, May 24, 2010, at 6:30 P.M. in the student Event Center.  Please make sure that you arrive by 6:15 P.M., to be seated. You_ must_ dress appropriately: dressy slacks or dress for girls, dress-slacks, shirt & tie for boys.
You should be very proud of your accomplishments.  We hope you & your family can attend this special evening.  If you do not attend the scholarship program your scholarship may be given to the alternate.  If you have a COS Final Exam, please try to come to the program as soon as you are done.

*Scholarship Thank you letters** *are due to the counseling office before you go to graduation practice. No thank you letters.... no practice. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Pena, Aurora Medina, or Melissa Garcia in the Counseling Office.

 

We will distribute the Migrant Summer Packets on Wednesday May 26, 2010. The students are to be sent to the library for their packets. It will only take a few minutes of their time. You may send them within the last 10 minutes of class. I plan to do the 9th graders during 2nd period, the 10th graders during 3rd period, and the11th graders during 4th period. Thank you for all you do for the students.

 

 

SENIORS- ALL YOUR TEXTBOOKS, CALCULATORS, AND LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE THURSDAY MAY 27TH. THE LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 4:30 ON MAY 27TH TO CLEAR SENIORS. COME IN EARLIER THAN THE 27TH IF POSSIBLE AND TURN IN YOUR MATERIALS TO GET CLEARED FOR GRADUATION.

 

Seniors if you have no more than 4 C's (no D's!!) and have been in CP, Adv,(Alg II or higher) and/or AP courses apply now for *Graduating with Honors*. See counseling.

 

SENIORS!!! – Come in and sign up for your Senior picnic on June 2nd  at ,Mooney Grove and your Sober Grad on June 4th after the graduation ceremony will be going to Adventure Park, Sober Grad is free for seniors, you may bring a guest to sober grad but, there will be a $5.00 charge for guest.  Seniors – If you have bills including library bills you will not be able to participate in Senior Picnic, check with Frances or look on office window.

 

BAND Information


1) *BAND AWARDS NIGHT -- Wednesday May 26th *Please mark your calendar, and plan to attend if you participated in Marching, Concert, or Jazz Band this year. Bring your photos from the season to Mrs. Hansen as soon as possible to include in the year-end slideshow.

Purchase Your Yearbooks. The yearbook students have been working very hard on making an outstanding yearbook full of this years memories. Purchase your yearbooks or make a deposit immediately through Frances. There will be limited quantities this year so don't miss out. Price = $85.00

 

Sports

 

Baseball bills have been posted, see Frances for information

 

"Attention boys basketball players.  Open gym will start Monday May 3 and continue each Monday and Thursday throughout the rest of the year.  We will have shooting practice and games from 3:30-5:00 in the Event Center.  See you there."


Community Service

 

 Woodlake Presbyterian and St. Clement's are co-hosting VBS June 21-25, 8:30am-12:00pm.  It is a Western theme.  We are in need of group leaders and assistances.  Please advertise with those students in need of hours or just wanting to help out and have fun.

SENIORS! If you have rec'd a notification (via email or by mail) from your college regarding your *Financial Aid Award*, please print a copy and bring it to the counseling office, asap! I will be needing this information for Scholarship Night. Thanks aurora

 

Attention class of 2011 – Female & Male Athletes w/a minimum GPA of 3.0

 

Are you a male or female student-athlete who works hard, are dedicated, and have become role models for your underclassmen? If yes, the Wendy’s High School Heisman award program begins with you. You have the opportunity to apply for this program if you participate in at least one school-sponsored sport and have at least a “B” average. If you are one of the first 41,000 students that complete an application online you will win a Wendy’s Gift card in amount ranging from $5 to $50 (gift cards will be mailed in November). All online applications are due by October 3rd and will need to be reviewed and confirmed by a school official. Seniors planning to attend Fresno State must sign up to attend Dog Days (student orientation).   You must register on the website at http://www.csufresno.edu/studentaffairs/programs/dogdays/index.shtml

DOG DAYS are schedule for the following dates: June 8, 10, 12*, 15, 17, 21, 23, 25, 29, July 1, 7, 9, 13

 

Seniors:
If you are planning to attend a CSU you must sign up to take the CSU placement test.  If you scored high enough on the EAP you may be exempt from taking these tests.  If not you will need to register for one of the following test dates:
