Syntax
Syntax refers to the way words are arranged within sentences.  Although the basic structure of the English sentence is prescribed (e.g.  You must have a subject and a verb), there is great latitude in its execution (the way it is delivered).

In addition to mini-lessons on syntax, we will use the following handouts:

1.  Rhetorical Analysis:  Improving Sentence Style.
2.  Imitating Some of the Best.
3.  Syntax Revision.
4.  Effects Created by Syntax.
