 Mr. Summers

About me:

My name is Shaun Summers. This is my 5th year teaching at Woodlake High School. I am also the Mock Trial Coach and the Social Studies Department Chair.

I was born and raised in Kern county in a small town called Taft. I went to junior college, then to CSU Bakersfield. I finished my Bachelor's Degree in History at CSU Channel Islands. I am married and have 3 daughters. I am passionate about teaching and history.

Welcome Back!
Welcome to the 2013-2014 School Year! I am looking forward to an awesome year with my classes. Now that Summer Break is over I hope you are ready to focus and learn about our world. The importance of history is to understand how we got to where we are today. By studying history we can prevent tragedies in the future and understand some of the events of the present. We are part of a global community and learning about other countries and their histories helps us to better understand those people. Once we understand each other, we can find ways to get along. That applies as much in government relations, business relations, and our own relations with our classmates here at Woodlake High.

Goooooooo Tigers!!!!
