Attention Students in Grades 9th & 10th - The ASPIRE test is coming up very soon, but thus far only four 10th grade students have paid for this test. The ASPIRE test replaced the PLAN test but it is still the Pre-ACT test; just like the PSAT is the pre-SAT test. If you are in College Prep and/or Honors classes the high school counselors definitely encourage you to sign up and pay the $25 to Mari Villegas in the front office and bring your receipt to counseling!

Did you know that Every 3 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a type of blood cancer?  Did you know that blood cancer patients still do not survive five years after being diagnosed?  Did you know, that every 9 minutes, someone in the U.S. dies of blood cancer?

You, too, can help make these situations better.  In one week, WHS has raised over $200 in donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Pennies for Patients campaign.  However, we need to raise more in order to reach our goal.  Please be generous and remember to donate in your 6th period class in order to win a pizza party for your class.

Life will always throw you curves; just keep fouling them off…

The right pitch will come, but when it does, be prepared to run the base.
